The Tommy’s Tinklers Youth Handbell Choir of Moscow, Idaho, has two North Olympic Peninsula performances on its April tour of Western Washington.
Both are at Methodist churches, and both are open to the public:
■ At 6 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Taylor St. in Port Townsend.
■ At the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service at Trinity United Methodist Church at 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim.
Admission is free, while donations are welcome to help the ensemble with its expenses.
This is a mission tour of sacred and praise music with “hopes [to] bring people closer to Jesus,” according to the choir’s news release.
The choir plays five full octaves of handbells and will bring along melody chimes to add flavor.
The musicians also have two very large handbells that were given to them as memorials.
Tommy’s Tinklers has been around for 25 years.
This is the group’s first tour in about six years.
