SEQUIM –– The sounds of old-timey gospel will fill a classic home near the shady Dungeness River tonight, as Californian musical duo Hilary and Kate headline a show at the Riverhouse.
With their mix of roots, bluegrass, folk and gospel, Hilary and Kate’s guitar-and-violin combo has toured the world, including stops on the North Olympic Peninsula, where the duo most recently opened for the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers’ spring concert in March.
Tonight, they play the Riverhouse, a renovated turn-of-the-century house at 385 Silberhorn Road, at 7 p.m.
The all ages event is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, as seating is limited.
Opening for them will be Kings of the Wild Frontier, a foot-stomping, oldtime, gospel bluegrass trio, featuring David Rivers and Hayden Pomeroy, formerly of Abby Mae & the Homeschool Boys, and the new arrival, Christian Jensen, on slide guitar.
