PORT ANGELES — “New Ideas in Gardening” with guru Ciscoe Morris will be offered at the Port Angeles Library at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The free event will highlight new ideas and old wisdom for keeping plants healthy and attractive at the library at 2210 S. Peabody St.
Morris will discuss which perennials to cut back and divide, methods for pest control, pruning strategies and when and how to fertilize plants.
Several door prizes will be offered for answering one of his “Ciscoe stumpers.”
Morris also will be on hand at the conclusion of his talk to answer gardening questions and sign copies of his book Ask Ciscoe, Oh, la, la! Your Gardening Questions Answered.
Books will be available for purchase beginning at 6 p.m., courtesy of Odyssey Bookshop.
Morris also appears on television and radio. He lives in Seattle.
