Free fishing and free admission to state parks are both offered this weekend.
Fishing licenses will be not be required of anyone to fish in Washington state on Saturday and Sunday.
State parks throughout Washington will offer free admission to visitors Saturday and Sunday in recognition of National Get Outdoors Day, which is Saturday.
Visitors will not be required to display a Discover Pass for daytime visits on either day.
Participating parks in Clallam and Jefferson counties include Bogachiel, Sequim Bay, Fort Townsend and Fort Worden state parks.
Free Fishing Weekend in Washington is always the first weekend after the first Monday in June.
No license will be required to fish or gather shellfish in any waters open to fishing in the state.
In addition, no vehicle access pass or Discover Pass will be required to park at any of the 650 water-access sites maintained by the state Department of Fish and Wildlife.
While no licenses are required those days, other rules such as season closures, size limits and bag limits still will be in effect.
For example, no crab fishing will be allowed in Puget Sound because no areas will be open for crabbing at that time.
