PORT TOWNSEND — Saturday evening brings another Port Townsend Gallery Walk, so bundle up and explore downtown’s displays of work by local artists, open till 8 p.m. Refreshments and gift-friendly art awaits at venues including:
■ Gallery Nine, 1012 Water St., with Tom Stewart’s hand-drums made from African zebrawood and other materials, yoga props and zen gardens, plus Cynthia Thomas’ masks, pastels and bronze sculptures.
■ The Port Townsend Gallery, 715 Water St., with the winter jewelry show starring artists Addy Thornton, Stephanie Oliveira, Andrea Guarino-Slemmons, Caroline Littlefield and Shirley “the Chainmaker” Moss.
■ The Jefferson Museum of Art & History, inside City Hall at 540 Water St., with “Tom Jay: Artist & Artisan.” This exhibition offers more than 30 sculptures by Tom Jay and former clients of Riverdog Foundry, including Tony Angell, Hilda Morris, Philip Levine and Sara Mall Johani, with photographs by Mary Randlett.
■ The Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St., with the opening reception for December’s “Small Expressions” show. The award winners in this exhibition of art smaller than 15 inches wide or tall include “Port Townsend Bay,” an oil painting by Elizabeth Reutlinger; “In Other Words,” an altered book by Jean-Marie Tarascio; “Lake Skatutakee, New Hampshire,” a watercolor by Beff Wyldemoon and “Searching Steller’s Jay,” a watercolor by Janet Tarjan Erl.
Also at Northwind, juror Teresa Verraes will give a free talk about “Small Expressions” at 3 p.m. Sunday.
