PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Fair queen and princess will be crowned at the Royalty Princess Tea and Coronation at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The coronation of Amanda Little and Becky Schroepher will be in the Home Arts Building on the Clallam County Fairgrounds, 1608 W. 16th St., Port Angeles.
Tickets are $5. They are available from this year’s candidates or at the door.
One will be crowned queen and the other princess to reign over the Clallam County Fair, set for Aug. 20-23.
Scholarships will be awarded. The queen will get $900 and the princess $700.
Amanda, 16, is the daughter of Brian and Margie Little.
A home-schooled student who is a high school junior, she has participated in the Christian Communicators Northwest Debate League, is involved in the Awana ministry and serves in a soup kitchen in Port Angeles.
She plans to train with Youth with a Mission, an interdenominational, nonprofit Christian missionary organization.
She is sponsored by Berneking Concrete Homes and attorney Steve Gish.
Becky, 17, is the daughter of Bill and Tammy Schroepher.
A Sequim High School senior, she is vice president of the Sequim chapter of the National FFA Organization and a manager with the wresting and football programs at the high school.
She plans to attend college in the fall and become a certified ultrasound technician.
