SEKIU — Whale-watchers kept their vigil Sunday over the Strait of Juan de Fuca for a young humpback whale entangled in crab lines.
John Calambokidis, director of Olympia-based Cascadia Research, said searchers last saw the whale early Sunday off Slip Point east of Clallam Bay, then lost contact despite a subsequent four-hour-long search.
