FORKS — Who will play Jacob Black, a Quileute teenager, in the upcoming movie version of the best-selling teen-vampire romance, Twilight, which is set in Forks?
Casting directors interviewed actors last Saturday in Portland, Ore., for the role.
Lana Veenker Casting, who will be assisting in the casting of some of the roles in the movie, is looking for a Native American male between 16 and 18 to play Jacob.
Most of the Summit Entertainment movie will be filmed in Portland, but potentially some scenes could be shot in Forks as well as LaPush and Port Angeles.
The filming schedule and firm locations have not yet been determined.
The movie, based on the novel series by Stephenie Meyer, follows the adventures of young Isabella “Bella” Swan when she moves from her mother’s home in Phoenix to Forks to live with her police chief father, Charlie.
As she adjusts to the rainy town, Bella falls in love with Edward Cullen — an enigmatic, handsome and strangely pale classmate.
Edward, she discovers, is a vampire.
