PORT TOWNSEND — Volunteers are invited to take advantage of the early spring weather and help finish some plantings along the Froggy Bottoms Stormwater site Saturday.
Planting will be done between 9 a.m. and noon at the site at Cedar and Pacific streets. Organizers recommend that volunteers park along Pacific Street.
Volunteers should dress for the weather because the work is done rain or shine, and should bring trowels, shovels, spades, rakes and wheelbarrows as well as gloves.
Since volunteers will work with the Port Townsend Public Works Department, they will need to sign the city’s liability waiver upon arrival.
When the work is done volunteers are invited to stick around for refreshments.
