Volunteer Hospice offers free training

PORT ANGELES — Registration continues to be open for Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County’s six-week series on community education and volunteer training beginning Wednesday.

The series will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Wednesday at the Volunteer Hospice House, 810 S. Albert St., behind the hospice office on Eighth Street.

The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required, as group size is limited.

The series provides a history and overview of hospice and the philosophy behind Volunteer Hospice, explores grief and the dying process, and offers basic hospice volunteer training for those interested.
