RAUCOUS GYPSY JAZZ and swing favorites filled the Port Angeles City Pier area Wednesday night (July 2) with Ranger and the Re-Arrangers (that’s Ranger Sciacca on the violin).
It was a cross between a Paris cafe and a gypsy campsite.
The free Concert on the Pier in Port Angeles is every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. through Sept. 3.
Next Wednesday’s concert (July 9): Haywire (blues and rock).
There also will be music at the pier Friday night for Fourth of July festivities (with bands from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., vendors, parade downtown at 6 p.m., fireworks about 10:15 p.m.).
Concert on the Pier is sponsored by Peninsula Daily News, Elwha River Casino, KeyBank, Union Bank, Red Lion Hotel in Port Angeles, Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce and Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department.
