SEQUIM — Pet owners can take their dogs and cats to the Pacific Northwest Veterinary Hospital in Sequim from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday to receive free vaccines and microchips.
The clinic, located at 289 W Bell St., will offer rabies, DAPP and FVRCP vaccines.
While the walk-in clinic also will offer free spay and neuter services for pre-registered low-income individuals, the slots for that clinic are already full.
Mel Marshall, operations manager for Welfare for Animals Guild (WAG), said the organization is hoping to sponsor a similar clinic every month.
Individuals interested in getting their pet spayed or neutered at a future clinic can email WAG at wagranch@yahoo.com to get on the email list, Marshall said. Individuals must provide proof of income to qualify.
The services will be provided for free through WAG. To help offset the costs of providing them, individuals can donate to WAG through its website.
