FORKS — The West End Vehicle Licensing reopened under new ownership and in a new location Tuesday.
The office opened after Cheryl Anderson, who was contracted by the Clallam County Auditor’s Office, finished training by the county office that began Nov. 2.
The office is inside West End Motors, 192681 U.S. Highway 101, in Forks. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
As a full service sub-agency of the auditor’s office, West End Vehicle Licensing will be able to transfer ownership, renew tabs and issue tonnage and disabled parking placards, as well as license snowmobiles, boats and farm vehicles.
It is a private business under the supervision of Clallam County Auditor Patty Rosand.
It is a separate office from the Department of Licensing office, which is run by the state.
The business had previously been owned by Sandy Williams, who closed it in July 2009 and began working for Clallam County District Court II in Forks.
Williams previously conducted an average of 7,500 transactions annually, Rosand said.
For more information, phone the office at 360-374-9220.
