UPDATED — Peninsula Community Mental Health Center renames itself Peninsula Behavioral Health

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula Community Mental Health Center has changed its name to Peninsula Behavioral Health.

The new name — and a new logo and tagline, “Helping People Grow and Change” — were announced Thursday at an open house at its main office at 118 E. Eighth St. in Port Angeles.

The agency also has an office in Sequim at 490 N. Fifth Ave.

During Thursday’s open house, visitors were told about the variety of services offered by the 41-year-old agency.

It is not only for those diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, but also for people with symptoms of anxiety and depression, or who are having relationship or marital issues, said Peter Casey, executive director.

Also at the open house, Casey and his staff announced plans for the agency’s annual fundraiser, to be held May 11.
