INTERIOR AND THE OLYMPICS FOR LATE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING…

ALSO ADMIRALTY INLET AREA

.A STRONG PACIFIC LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OFF THE SOUTH WASHINGTON

COAST WILL MOVE INTO VANCOUVER ISLAND MONDAY MORNING. THIS SYSTEM

IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE STRONG AND POTENTIALLY DAMAGING WINDS

ALONG THE WASHINGTON COAST…WESTERN STRAIT OF JUAN DE FUCA…

PARTS OF THE NORTHWEST INTERIOR AND THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE

OLYMPIC MOUNTAINS. ANY PREPARATIONS FOR THESE STRONG WINDS SHOULD

BE RUSHED TO COMPLETION.

A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST MONDAY.

* STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP TONIGHT AND

REACH 50 TO 60 MPH SUSTAINED WITH GUSTS TO 100 MPH…

PARTICULARLY FOR EXPOSED RIDGES.

* THE WINDS SHOULD SHIFT TO SOUTHWEST MONDAY MORNING AND EASE BY

NOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS THAT A HAZARDOUS WIND EVENT IS IMMINENT

OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WINDS OF AT LEAST 50 MPH…OR GUSTS OF

75 MPH OR HIGHER WILL OCCUR IN THE MOUNTAINS.
