PORT ANGELES — Ice on the roadway was blamed for a single-vehicle wreck that ended with a sport utility vehicle flipped over in a ditch off Olympic Hot Springs Road earlier this week.
Clallam County Fire District No. 2 reported no injuries to a woman whose 2000 Dodge Durango SUV veered off Olympic Hot Springs Road and landed in a roadside ditch on its roof at about 5:50 p.m. Monday.
Fire District No. 2 paramedics evaluated the woman, who was not identified, at the scene.
The Durango was being driven along Olympic Hot Springs Road near Little River Road when it began to fishtail after hitting a patch of ice, according to Fire District No. 2.
The SUV rolled once and landed upside-down.
