UPDATE — Highway 112 now clear after mud slide in Clallam Bay

CLALLAM BAY — A mud slide blocked the eastbound lane of state Highway 112 near Kalawa Street for about two hours today.

The slide, reported at 12:05 p.m., was at mile post 16 in Clallam Bay, the state Department of Transportation said.

Flaggers directed one-way, alternating traffic through the westbound lane while crews cleared the mud and debris.

The lane was reopened by 2:05 p.m.
