DISCOVERY BAY — A collision at the interchange between U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 104 — the route to the Hood Canal Bridge — caused the closure of the northbound/westbound lane of U.S. 101.
The crash occurred on Highway 101 between Mileposts 284 and 285 near Uncas, according to the Department of Transportation.
Our reporter at the scene, Charlie Bermant, reports that a southbound sedan with Utah license plates — carrying two adults and two children — apparently crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound car carrying one driver. No names have been released.
Authorities at the scene said there was one major injury and four minor injuries.
