AGNEW — A large van and a new Subaru Impreza collided head-on Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 101 just west of Barr Road in a wreck that injured three people, said a spokesman for Clallam County Fire District No. 3.
The injuries to the people, who were not identified by the fire department because of privacy concerns, were minor to moderate injuries, said Patrick Young, public information officer for the department.
The State Patrol on Friday night identified the people involved.
All three involved in the collision, Morgan T. Janisse, 25, of Port Angeles and 1-year-old passenger in the 1995 Plymouth Voyager van and a 56-year-old woman driving the 2013 Subaru Impreza, Nancy I. Adams of The Dalles, Ore., were taken to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, a State Patrol report said.
The State Patrol said Friday evening that Janisse suffered a seizure, causing the eastbound van to cross the centerline and collided with the westbound Subaru.
All three people in the collision were alert and talking when emergency crews arrived, Young said.
The crash, which was reported at about 2:30 p.m., shut down both lanes of Highway 101 for about 15 minutes until westbound traffic was diverted to Old Olympic Highway via Kitchen-Dick Road, Young said, while eastbound traffic was allowed through the scene of the wreck with periodic stops. The area was cleared before 5 p.m.
Sequim police and Clallam County sheriff’s deputies also responded to the wreck.
