PORT ANGELES — United Way of Clallam County has raised more than 75 percent of the entity’s $800,000 fundraising goal for 2018, representatives from the organization said last week.
“Thank you to all the individuals, businesses, employee giving campaigns, service clubs and more that have contributed so far,” said Hayley Pearce, United Way’s resource development manager, noting the nonprofit’s collection of more than $610,000.
“The combined donations will be invested in the community through 24 local partner agencies that have programs and services focused on education, financial stability and health,” Pearce said.
“Our campaign is doing well, but we wanted to let donors know there’s still time to make a year-end gift and help us reach our goal.”
United Way of Clallam County’s mission is to strengthen the community by helping people live safe, healthy and productive lives.
“We’re so thankful we live in such a caring community,” United Way CEO, Christy Smith said. “United Way is proud to support programs in education that encourage academic achievement.
“We advance financial stability by helping everyone achieve greater economic mobility. We promote good health by partnering with others to maximize physical and mental health and well-being across all of Clallam County.”
Donations can be directed towards a specific nonprofit or placed in the community impact fund.
Donations can be made in a number of ways: by phone at 360-457-3011; online at www.unitedwayclallam.org; by mail to PO Box 937, Port Angeles, WA 98362, or, dropped off during normal business hours at the United Way office at 1601 E. Front St., Building 2-Suite A, Port Angeles.
United Way will continue to collect donations for the 2018 campaign through March 31.
