POULSBO — Two Port Hadlock residents were hurt this morning in a wreck north of Poulsbo, the State Patrol said.
David J. Eisenhour, 55, and his passenger, Heidi L. Eisenhour, 42, both of Port Hadlock, were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton after the two-car collision at 9:43 a.m. at the intersection of state Highway 3 and Northwest Thompson Road.
A Poulsbo resident, Megan K. Brown, 18, who also was taken to the Bremerton hospital, has been charged with failure to yield, the State Patrol said.
Hospital spokeswoman Jacquie Goodwill said the hospital had no information on any of the three. They may have elected to have no information released or refused treatment at the hospital, she said.
The State Patrol gave this account:
Brown was driving a blue 2010 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on Northwest Thompson Road when she turned onto southbound Highway 3 and struck the southbound gray 1988 Ford pickup truck driven by David Eisenhour.
The Jetta came to rest in the southbound ditch, and the Ford came to rest in the middle of the intersection.
The roadway was blocked for 45 minutes.
Both vehicles were destroyed, the State Patrol said.
