PORT ANGELES — Two people were injured last week when two cars collided mid-block on Race Street between Eighth Street and Lauridsen Boulevard.
Two passengers who were in a Ford Mustang were taken to Olympic Medical Center for back and head injuries, said Port Angeles Police Sgt. Barbara McFall after the Thursday afternoon wreck.
McFall said the injuries were minor.
The passengers were not identified.
A third passenger in the Mustang, a young infant, was in a secured car seat and was not injured, she said.
The Mustang — driven by Simone R. Nelson, 40, of Forks — pulled out of an alley between Eighth Street and Lauridsen Boulevard, and pulled onto Race Street to make a left turn, said Port Angeles Police Officer Andrew Heuett.
A Ford Focus driven by Karissa Hayter, 23, of Sequim was driving southbound on Race Street and hit the Mustang, he said.
Nelson will be cited for failure to yield, he said.
