PORT ANGELES — Two people were reportedly taken to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles after a Friday wreck but were reported as not in the patient census on Monday.
Three Port Angeles drivers were involved in the chain reaction collision at 3:38 p.m. Friday, the State Patrol said, with two of them — Lily S. Dotson, 24, and Emanuel S. Nuez, 48 — taken to the hospital.
A hospital spokesperson on Monday said neither were in the hospital and provided no additional information.
Dotson was cited for following too closely, the State Patrol said in its wreck memo.
According to the State Patrol, Dotson was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 101 just east of Bayview Avenue with two vehicles ahead of her.
Immediately ahead was one driven by Nuez.
In front of him was a car driven by Sabrina M. Hawthorne, 30.
Nuez and Hawthorne braked and Dotson did not, the State Patrol said.
Dotson’s car struck Nuez’; his vehicle struck Hawthorne’s.
Vehicles driven by Dotson and Nuez came to rest in the highway east of Bayview Avenue while Hawthorn, who was uninjured, drove on, stopping on East Myrtle Street, the State Patrol said.
Both Dotson and Nuez wore seat belts.
It was unknown if Hawthorne did, the State Patrol said.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved, troopers said.
