PORT ANGELES — A LaPush woman and Forks man arrested in a burglary at a Forks pizza shop are expected to be arraigned on burglary and theft charges in Clallam County Superior Court today (Friday, July 5).
Tyeson Frank LaGambina, 24, and 18-year-old Sarah Ellisyn Burnside are scheduled to appear in Clallam County Superior Court, Burnside at 9 a.m., LaGambina at 1:30 p.m.
Both have been charged with one count each of first-degree theft, second-degree burglary and theft of a motor vehicle after allegedly breaking into Pacific Pizza at 870 S. Forks Ave., at about 3:30 a.m. June 10 and making off with a safe and a sedan used for deliveries.
LaGambina remained in the Clallam County jail Thursday on $25,000 bail. Burnside was not listed on the jail roster.
Forks police said the pair used a rock to break a rear window of Pacific Pizza the morning on June 10 and stole a safe containing $7,000 in cash and checks.
The two also allegedly stole a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu used to make deliveries.
Police said Burnside told them that she and LaGambina had burned the checks in the safe and that she had driven the Malibu off a cliff about 2 miles east of U.S. Highway 101 on Sitkum-Sol Duc Road.
Forks Police Administrator Rick Bart later found the Malibu at the bottom of a 50-foot bluff of Sitkum-Sol Duc Road.
