SEQUIM — Two people were taken to a hospital after two cars collided at the intersection of U.S. Highway 101 and Diamond Point Road at about 12:13 p.m. Thursday.
Medics treated a man in his 60s or 70s and two women in their early 20s at the wreck, said Patrick Young, Clallam County Fire District No. 3 spokesman.
The two women were taken to Olympic Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
The fire department did not identify any of those involved in the wreck.
The intersection was blocked for about one hour, with Clallam County deputies directing traffic, Young said.
He described the wreck as a “T-bone” collision, with one vehicle damaged on the rear passenger side and the other with front-end damage.
The State Patrol is investigating the cause of the wreck, Young said.
Air bags deployed in both cars, and both were badly damaged, he said.
