SEQUIM — Only minor injuries were reported after a truck left the roadway and struck a Sequim residence.
Deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report at about 6:50 a.m. Friday of a vehicle colliding with a home on the 1000 block of Woodcock Road.
They found a heavily damaged grey Nissan Titan pickup resting against the back of a residence.
The driver, who had already extricated himself from the vehicle, told deputies that he had fallen asleep while driving.
Deputies found the pickup had drifted off the roadway heading toward the ditch on the south side of Woodcock Road. Tracks led back across the road where the pickup struck a tree and spun the vehicle around before it rolled to a stop against the back of the Sequim residence.
A female passenger suffered minor scrapes. No other injuries were reported, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies arrested the driver for investigation of driving with a suspended license in the third degree and failure to transfer title within 45 days. He was booked and released from the Clallam County Jail.
There was no evidence of impairment, sheriff’s office deputies reported.
