The League of Women Voters of Clallam County and North Olympic Library System are hosting three candidate forums for local races in early October, each held on Zoom.
On Tuesday, a forum from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. will feature candidates for Clallam County commissioner District 3: Connie Beauvais and Lee Whetham.
From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday will be a forum for candidates for Sequim City Council, including William Armacost and Kathy Downer (position 1); Jim Black and Dan Butler (position 2), and Patrick Day and Harmony Rutter (position 6).
At 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, a forum is scheduled for City of Port Angeles council races, including: Jim Haguewood and Amy Miller (position 5) and Kalli Mae Jones and Brendan Meyer (position 7), though Meyer is not able to attend, according to a press release.

At each forum, participating candidates will be invited to provide their qualifications, and state why they are running and their goals for the office, if elected. The forum moderator will then pose questions that have been provided by the public.
Community members and organizations are encouraged to submit questions to the league by email (info@lwvcla.org) or by postal mail (League of Women Voters of Clallam County, PO Box 1092, Carlsborg, WA 98324).
Preference will be given to questions received by three days prior to the forum.
Those submitting questions are asked to indicate which city or county they are registered to vote, and at which forum they wish the question to be asked.
