PORT ANGELES — A man who allegedly burglarized three Clallam County businesses this winter and reportedly attempted a fourth will have his trial dates reset this Friday.
Sean Vince Della, 27, appeared in a Tuesday court hearing in advance of two trials, each of which will be rescheduled at 9 a.m. Friday.
Della was scheduled to go to trial this Monday for several alleged burglaries in Port Angeles.
A second trial for an alleged attempted burglary of the Sequim coffee stand was scheduled for March 23.
Defense attorney Ralph Anderson told Superior Court Judge Christopher Melly that he had received discovery information, but the two trials were set in reverse, with the newer case first and the older case second.
Melly, Anderson and county Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Jesse Espinoza agreed to reset both trials.
Della pleaded not guilty Feb. 27 to three counts of second-degree burglary and single counts of first-, second- and third-degree theft; second-degree possession of stolen property; and third-degree malicious mischief for a string of burglaries in Port Angeles.
A Port Angeles police investigation tied Della to burglaries that occurred Dec. 9 at Athlete’s Choice, 215 W. First St.; Jan. 31 at Sabai Thai restaurant, 903 W. Eighth St.; and Feb. 1 at Spotlight Tanning & Apparel, 715 E. First St.
Della was arrested Feb. 1 after the owner of Spotlight Tanning & Apparel and four others tracked him to a Lauridsen Boulevard apartment.
He also was charged in November with second-degree attempted burglary of White Cup Espresso in Sequim, possession of heroin and making false or misleading statements to a public servant.
If convicted on all counts, Della is eligible for a sentencing range of 33 months to 43 months, served concurrently, Espinoza has said.
Last week, Espinoza said he is considering a plea offer.
Della initially was charged Feb. 4 with second-degree possession of stolen property.
Other charges were added after a Port Angeles police investigation collected additional evidence, reviewed surveillance videos and interviewed witnesses.
