Transformer fire closes Lincoln Street at First Street in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — South Lincoln Street was been closed in the vicinity of 1st Street for a electricity transformer fire at 10:17 a.m. today.

The Port Angeles Fire Department and Light Operations Utility personnel are on the scene, according to Craig Fulton, director of public works.

Fulton reported that the 100 block of Lincoln Street will likely be closed for several hours while fire and public works crew clean up and make the intersection safe.
