GARDINER — Work crews will shift traffic onto a new bridge over Contractors Creek during overnight construction this week.
Drivers will see alternating single-lane traffic on U.S. Highway 101 at milepost 277.9 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday night through Friday morning, according to a press release from the state Department of Transportation.
The lane closures, between Gardiner and Discovery Bay, will allow work crews to pave areas next to the current bypass route.
Eastbound traffic is expected to be shifted onto the new bridge by Tuesday morning, with westbound traffic shifted to the new bridge by Friday, WSDOT said.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
