PORT ANGELES — Tickets are on sale to see Elvis, Buddy Holly, Janis Joplin and John Denver.
These musical legends and their soul-stirring songs will be recreated in a special two-and a-half hour fund-raising show for the Peninsula Daily News’ Peninsula Home Fund this coming Saturday, Aug. 16.
It will begin at 8 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 110 S. Penn St., Port Angeles, with doors open at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door on Aug. 16.
Half the money from the show will go the “hand up, not a handout” Peninsula Home Fund.
The show — “Summer Dance Party” — coincides with the 31st anniversary of Elvis’ death at his Graceland home in Memphis. He was 42.
Performing will be The Reincarnations of Rock & Roll, a North Olympic Peninsula-based group that recreates Elvis, Joplin and Holly and those stars’ greatest hits.
Joining The Reincarnations for this show will be Jim Bluhm of Bremerton performing as Denver.
Food, beverages and a full bar will be available at the Eagles Club.
