SEQUIM — An additional search conducted Saturday for 72-year-old Danny Brewer of Sequim, who has been missing since March 24, was unsuccessful, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
The search by the Clallam County Search and Rescue Team was in addition to two previous searches conducted immediately after Brewer was reported missing.
Saturday’s search involved more than 80 personnel, 13 dogs and a drone team, all from numerous counties throughout the state.
Throughout Saturday’s search, 20 teams searched more than 30 miles of roads and approximately 15 square miles of clear cuts as well as searching the areas covered in the initial search again, the sheriff’s office said.
Participating organizations included Kitsap County Search Dogs, Pierce County ESAR, Island County SAR, Cowlitz County SAR, Pierce County GSSD (German Shepherd Search Dogs), King County ESAR, King County Search Dogs and Snohomish County K9 SAR.
Costco donated numerous snack items and “The Soup Ladies,” a nonprofit program that provides free meals to first responders, provided free meals for the search teams.
“Without the support of the above agencies and volunteers, the search areas would not have been able to be properly searched for any signs of Mr. Brewer. Unfortunately, the search did not result in locating Mr. Brewer,” Sheriff Brian King said.
