The top 10 Peninsula picnic locales for the Fourth of July weekend

As people across the North Olympic Peninsula prepare for the three-day Independence Day weekend, finding the perfect picnic spot is one of the top challenges.

Although there are thousands of picnic locales on the Peninsula, there are 10 that rise to the top.

Today’s Fourth of July top Peninsula picnic destinations — divided into five for Clallam County and five for Jefferson County — were selected using the following criteria: view, access to services, recreational opportunities and the number of tables available.
