CLALLAM BAY — The North Olympic Library System will continue its Read and Eat Gathering series at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The gathering will be held in the Clallam Bay Library, 16990 state Highway 112.
The theme for the gathering is “Mexican Cuisine.”
Attendees should check out a cookbook and bring a dish prepared from one of its recipes to share at the gathering.
Recommended cookbooks for April are: “Mexican Today: New and Rediscovered Recipes for Contemporary Kitchens” by Pati Jinich, “Pati’s Mexica Table: The Secrets of Real Mexican Home Cooking” by Pati Jinich, “Gran Cocina Latina: The Food of Latin America” by Maricel E. Presilla and “Tacos, Tortas, and Tamales: Flavors From the Griddles, Pots, and Street-Side Kitchens of Mexico” by Roberto Santibanez, J.J. Goode and Todd Coleman.
Read and Eat Gatherings are free and open to the public.
The theme for May’s Read and Eat Gathering will be “Asian Cuisine.”
