WHILE THE BOOKS on the 2008 fundraising drive are now closed, the Peninsula Home Fund itself never closes.
Donations of any amount can be made at any time.
New contributions will go toward the 2009 campaign.
We have already received several hundred dollars to jump-start the 2009 drive.
“Thank you for your efforts . . . I am happy to send you this check to start off the 2009 campaign,” wrote Port Angeles resident Anne Dalton.
All Peninsula Home Fund contributions are fully IRS tax-deductible for the yearly period in which the check is written.
And there are no deductions, not one penny, from the fund for administration or other overhead.
In the past 12 months, the fund has assisted 2,959 individuals and households with a “hand up, not a handout.”
A gift of any size is welcome.
The Peninsula Home Fund has never been a campaign of heavy hitters.
If you can contribute only a few dollars, please don’t hesitate because you think it won’t make a difference.
Every gift makes a difference, regardless of its size.
To donate, write a check to “Peninsula Home Fund” and attach it to the new 2009 coupon that can be printed out after clicking on the coupon at right.
Mail both items to Peninsula Home Fund, Peninsula Daily News, P.O. Box 1330, Port Angeles 98362.
Or drop them at the newspaper’s offices in Port Townsend, Sequim or Port Angeles (addresses are on Page A2 of the PDN every day).
Again, all contributions are fully IRS tax-deductible. The fund’s IRS number, under the auspices of OlyCAP, is 91-0814319.
You will receive a written thank you and acknowledgment of your contribution from the PDN.
To delay may mean to forget.
