Clallam County
The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss appointing a temporary director for the Department of Community Development during their weekly work session Monday.
The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Allison Berry, health officer for Jefferson and Clallam counties, at 9:45 a.m.; conduct a public hearing at 11 a.m. related to aligning the county’s lodging tax code with state statutes; conduct a workshop regarding the proposed Caswell Brown Village lease; consider resignations from and appointments to various volunteer boards and commissions; and meet in executive session with the chief civil deputy prosecuting attorney, the deputy prosecuting attorney for district III, the public works director/county engineer, the public works sewer project manager, the director and the planning manager for the Department of Community Development regarding potential litigation.
Items on the consent agenda include a resolution establishing objectives and procedures for its mid-biennium budget review, a resolution to construct a road and utilities on a portion of Charles Street, an agreement with FEMA regarding removal of snow and trees from public roads in January 2022, an amended agreement with Olympic Community Action Programs for and additional $3,701 for transitional housing services and an amended agreement with the Department of Health for an additional $221,343 of funding to provide public health services.

The State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) hearing is on an application to reduce the rear and side setback and waive the residential off-street parking requirement for the construction of a single-household dwelling.
