BEAVER — Clallam County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of a 13-year-old girl who was found by her family to be unresponsive and not breathing in their tent at Tumbling Rapids Campground.
An autopsy is pending, said Undersheriff Ron Peregrin in a statement.

On August 27, 2010, at about 9:40 a.m. Clallam County West End deputies responded to an aid
call at the Tumbling Rapids Campground located at 203503 Hwy 101 in Beaver after a 13 year
old female was discovered by her family unresponsive and not breathing in their tent. She was
camping with her family.
Upon arrival of the Deputies it was apparent that the 13 year old
female was deceased. Cause of death at this time is unknown and currently still under
investigation by detectives from the Clallam County Criminal Investigations Bureau. An
autopsy is pending.
