Stephanz Jr. leads incumbent Henninger for Olympic Medical Center board

Three contested positions on the seven-member Olympic Medical Center board of commissioners and two seats on the Jefferson Healthcare hospital board were on Tuesday’s general election ballot.

In Clallam County, challenger Gerald B. Stephanz Jr. was leading incumbent Ann Marie Henninger 55.9 percent to 43.7 percent for Position 1. Stephanz Jr. had 6,384 votes to Henninger’s 4,991.

For Position 4, Carleen Bensen earned 58.8 percent (6,547 votes) to lead Tara Coffin, who had 40.5 percent (4,508 votes).

And Penney Sanders, who was appointed to the Position 7 seat earlier this year, had 51.5 percent (5,836 votes) to lead Laurie Force, who had 48.1 percent (5,447 votes).

For Forks Community Hospital, Paige Pearson, who was running unopposed, secured 98.2 percent (595 votes) for Position 1.

In Jefferson County, incumbent Matt Ready was leading challenger Stu Kerber for Position 3 on the Jefferson Healthcare board. Ready had 54 percent (4,402 votes) and Kerber 45.7 percent (3,723 votes).

Patty Rhoden, who is running unopposed, had 99 percent (6,221 votes) for Position 5.

Meanwhile, Brian Hocter, who is running unopposed, secured 100 percent (22 votes) for Position 2 on the West (Forks) Jefferson County Hospital District No. 1 board for Position 2.
