PORT ANGELES — One person was treated and discharged from Olympic Medical Center after a four-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 101 at Brook Ave.
The wreck backed up traffic in Port Angeles for more than two hours Thursday evening.
It appears to have been caused by a medical event, according to the State Patrol, which continues to investigate the cause of the wreck.
Bryan T. Toyer, 52, of Port Angeles was taken to Olympic Medical Center after his 1998 Ford Windstar van, which was traveling west on the highway, jumped onto the curb and struck three vehicles stopped at red light at N. Brooke Ave. at about 6 p.m. Thursday, the State Patrol said.
No one in those three vehicles were injured, the State Patrol said. They were Lisa D. Schoenfeldt, 47, and Margaret J. Thompson, 86, both of Port Angeles; and Norman K. Gow, 67, of Bothell.
Schoenfeldt and Thompson’s cars were towed from the scene, while Gow’s Ford pickup, which was towing a 30-foot travel trailer, was driven away, the State Patrol said.
All were wearing seat belts. No drugs or alcohol was involved, the State Patrol said.
