PORT TOWNSEND — A 55-year-old Everett woman was injured during a three-car collision when the car she was riding in hit the back of another car that was stopped in traffic on state Highway 104.
The collision occurred at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, when Ryan Snyder, 46, of Everett was driving westbound on state Highway 104 approaching Sandy Shore Road and failed to stop, striking the back of a vehicle stopped in traffic and pushing it into a third vehicle, according to a State Patrol report.
Snyder had Carolyn Ipsen riding with him during the collision. She was injured and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, the State Patrol said. Harborview spokesperson Susan Gregg said she had not been treated there.
No one else was hurt, the State Patrol said.
Snyder’s vehicle and the vehicle he struck directly — which was driven by Anna Reiling, 36, of Suquamish — were damaged and towed away, according the State Patrol.
The vehicle driven by Christain Parker, 56, of Chimacum that Reiling’s vehicle was pushed into was also damaged, but he was able to drive it away from the scene, troopers said.
All were wearing seat belts. Drugs or alcohol; were not involved, according to the State Patrol.
