PORT TOWNSEND — A wreck on Airport Cutoff Road near Port Townsend sent one man to Jefferson Healthcare hospital Monday afternoon.
East Jefferson Fire-Rescue said in a news release that it was called to the wreck at 4:24 p.m. after a westbound black Dodge Durango SUV slowed for traffic and was struck from behind by a red Kia Soul.
The female driver of the Dodge and her daughter were shaken up but uninjured.
The driver of the Kia, a 67-year-old Nordland man, was taken to Jefferson Healthcare for evaluation.
There were no other injuries.
The people involved were not identified by East Jefferson Fire-Rescue. Hospitals will not release patient information to the public without a name.
Traffic was slowed in both directions on the road, which is also state Highway 19, for about an hour due to the wreck.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
