BELFAIR — The Sequim wrestling team captured fifth place with 118 points in the 15-team North Mason Classic wrestling.
Host North Mason won the title with 208 points and three individual champions.
North Kitsap was runner-up with 169.5 points, followed by Sultan with 156 and Kingston with 152.5.
Sequim’s Dakota Hinton won the 170-pound championship, posting a decisive 8-1 victory in the finals to go with two pins earlier in the day.
Hinton now is 17-4 on the season.
Clay Charley gave up a last-second reversal in the finals, losing 2-1 for second place at 285.
Earning third place for the Wolves were Royhon Agostine at 113, Cody Field at 145 and Austin Leach at 182.
Luke Mooney took fifth at 138.
The Wolves next host defending Olympic League champion Kingston on Wednesday in a dual meet.
The Buccaneers feature returning state champion Bobby Reece at 152 and North Mason Classic champions Jack Welker at 220 and Walker Larson at 285.
The Wolves then will host the 15th annual Rainshadow Tournament on Saturday at 10 a.m. The finals are set for 3 p.m.
