PORT ANGELES — Soroptimist International of Port Angeles honored Barbara Cammack with its Woman of Distinction Award at a May 31 meeting at Joshua’s Restaurant in Port Angeles.
The award recognizes club members who have made outstanding achievements in their professional, business or voluntary activities during the past 10 years.
According to a press release, Cammack has been a past Soroptimist club president, served on numerous club committees, assisted in the Valley Creek Estuary development and with the club’s annual Pink-Up Golf Tournament.
Cammack also is active in the First United Methodist Church where she serves as treasurer and creates prayer shawls.
Cammack and her husband, Jim, opened Jim’s Pharmacy in 1983.
