MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH A PACIFIC FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL SPREAD

NORTH INTO WESTERN WASHINGTON LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON OR EARLY

EVENING. AT THIS TIME…IT APPEARS THE AIR MASS WILL BE COLD

ENOUGH SO THAT PRECIPITATION WILL FALL AS SNOW ACROSS THE

LOWLANDS. ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL MAY IMPACT THE EVENING RUSH

HOUR COMMUTE…AND PEOPLE ARE ENCOURAGED TO HAVE AN EARLY COMMUTE

TUESDAY EVENING BEFORE THE SNOW BEGINS.

SNOW WILL CHANGE OVER TO RAIN LATE TUESDAY NIGHT OR EARLY

WEDNESDAY MORNING ACROSS MOST AREAS AS WARMER AIR MOVES INLAND.

THIS WILL HELP WASH AWAY ANY ACCUMULATED SNOW. UNTIL

THEN…LATEST COMPUTER GUIDANCE SUGGEST 1 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW

POSSIBLE WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS IN HOOD CANAL…THE NORTH

COAST…THE NORTH INTERIOR AND THE CASCADE FOOTHILLS.

THESE SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE PRELIMINARY AND EXACT TOTALS AND

TIMING OF WHEN THE WARMER AIR ARRIVES IS STILL UNCLEAR AT THIS

MOMENT. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE FORECAST CLOSELY AS THIS WINTER

STORM SYSTEM DEVELOPS.
