Construction work on the Hood Canal Bridge are requiring periodic draw span openings lasting up to 90 minutes during late-night and early morning hours through Saturday.
Work hours will be from 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night, ending early Saturday.
Crews must gather measurements of how the bridge rides in the water when the draw span is in the open position, a state Department of Transportation spokesman said.
The measurements will be used in the design, manufacture and installation of the new draw span systems, part of the Hood Canal Bridge west-half retrofit and east-half replacement project.
