PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Peninsula’s newest shopping center will open next week with seven businesses.
The Bayview Center, in the 2700 block of East U.S. Highway 101, will house a Safeway, Rent-A-Center, Third Dimension Hair Salon, Subway sandwich shop, Advance Check America, Figaro’s Pizza and Fashion Bug, according to Redfield Development LLC.
The center’s grand opening is Wednesday, Nov. 14.
Redfield, based in the Seattle suburb of Mountlake Terrace, and Pleasanton, Calif.-based Safeway Inc. developed the new 64,300-square-foot shopping center at a cost of nearly $2.5 million, Clallam County building permits show.
“There is only one vacancy at this point” in the development, Dorrie Johnson, spokeswoman for Redfield, said Friday.
Johnson said the company is actively recruiting a business to fill the vacant storefront.
The largest business in the plaza will be the 43,228-square-foot Safeway, valued at $1.68 million, a building permit shows.
