PORT ANGELES — Three Price Ford/Lincoln service technicians recently attained senior master technician status.
Travis Bigelow, Steve Tamburro and Shawn Pace underwent a laborious training regimen that included about 200 web-based classes, which translates to more than 500 hours.
This is an ongoing training process throughout their career.
There also are approximately 20 live classes they must attend, and some are up to three days each.
The technicians journeyed to Seattle and Portland to attend these classes.
Once completed, they receive a certification.
This certification allows them to perform and complete both retail and warranty repairs on customers’ vehicles.
Bigelow, Tamburro and Pace were recognized across the nation and presented with several award trophies.
All three recipients achieved this goal in early fall of this year.
Tamburro has 18 years of experience; Bigelow and Pace have over six years of experience each.
Price Ford/Lincoln also has another technician, Robert Bunch, who has achieved and maintained senior master for more than 20 years.
