SEQUIM — Serenity House Thrift Store plans a grand opening of its Designer Showcase and Bedroom Annex at noon Saturday.
The grand opening will be in Serenity Square, 571 W. Washington St.
In 2017, the store opened a small showcase, director Belicia Munoz said — a store that, “found success with all the high-end donations from our local community.
“We then opened our Bedroom Furniture Annex in 2018 to help with the growing number of donations we received.”
When the other half of the Bedroom Annex building was vacated at the beginning of the year, Serenity Thrift Store used the opportunity to renovate the site and relocate its showcase.
Purchases made at the thrift store go directly toward supporting programs run by Serenity House of Clallam County, which accounts for 90 percent of the homeless services provided throughout the county, program representatives said.
“We would like to send thanks and appreciation to all our volunteers, employees and the community who make it all possible,” Munoz said.
“It is with your generous support we can continue helping the homeless of Clallam County.”
