Sequim’s Emblem3 appears on national TV [See it here]

NEW YORK –– Emblem3, the red-hot boy band rooted in Sequim, performed two songs Friday morning on ABC’s “Good Morning America” from the trio’s upcoming album.

Emblem3 played their set for a crowd of screaming young — mostly female — fans, inside the “Good Morning America” studios. The show was originally slated to be in Central Park, but rain moved the concert inside. 

They performed “Chloe,” their first single, an infectious summertime pop record, and “XO” their newest release.

Their album, “Nothing to Lose” is slated for release later this summer.

The band, Drew Chadwick and brothers Keaton and Wesley Stromberg, grew up in Sequim, performing at the Sequim unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula and The Buzz, then moved to Huntington Beach, Calif., to focus on making it in the music business.

They placed fourth on the Fox-TV reality show “The X Factor,” and signed to music industry impresario Simon Cowell’s Syco record label, a subsidiary of Sony. 

They are set to depart on a national tour opening for star Selena Gomez this summer, playing venues in the U.S., South America and Europe.
