CARLSBORG — An 80-year-old Sequim woman was injured when her car and a dump truck collided at the intersection of U.S. Highway 101 and Parkwood Boulevard late Wednesday morning.
Muriel S. Urban was transported to Olympic Medical Center with head injuries and cuts on her arms, the State Patrol said.
OMC would not release her condition on Wednesday night.
The driver of the dump truck, William Glass, 49, of Port Angeles, was not hurt.
Glass, who was driving east on 101, struck Urban’s 1999 Honda Civic car as she crossed the highway from Mill Road to Parkwood Boulevard, the State Patrol said.
Urban was not cited for failure to yield to highway traffic on Wednesday, but may be later, said State Patrol Trooper Krista Hedstrom.
Urban’s 1999 Honda Civic was destroyed.
The dump truck incurred about $5,000 worth of damage, and was driven away.
